What are the hidden dangers of the SAR rating? Protect your Phone now
There are hidden dangers of SAR ratings. Outdated ratings can make you feel protected when you are at risk. Don’t be fooled into thinking that having a low SAR phone makes it safe. Read more to discover why this rating doesn’t protect you.
Should you be concerned about France’s iPhone 12 Ban?
Smartphone safety is on many people’s minds. You can make your smartphone safer and improve your well-being now by not falling prey to the hidden dangers in SAR ratings that don’t work.
France temporarily banned the iPhone 12; causing many to ask, “Is it safe to use my smartphone? My initial reaction was, “Wow, someone is finally paying attention and wanting to make phones safer!”
I was far from happy when I looked into the issue a little more. All they were checking was the SAR rating which measures how much energy you may be absorbing from the phone when it’s in your pocket or near you. There are hidden dangers in the SAR ratings. This standard is outdated and not very useful and it gives you a false feeling of safety and security. I’ll tell you more about this below.
At first glance, I thought it seemed like a step in the right direction when France’s strict radiation watchdog agency banned sales of the Apple iPhone 12 after tests of the SAR rating (Specific Absorption Rate) showed the smartphone had SAR ratings above the European radiation limits. The good news is, that Apple released a software update that corrected the problem.
The bad news is the SAR rating is only a tiny part of the picture and doesn’t mean your phone isn’t causing your body and mind issues that may be cumulative and long-term.
Is the SAR rating of your phone important to your safety? Not Really…let me explain
There is a lot of controversy and misinformation over cell phones and whether the radiation is dangerous. We doubt that the full story will ever be widely known.
We reported on the SAR rating issue and cellphone safety standards ten years ago in this report “Our Cellphone Safety Standards are Off by about a Billion Percent!” Since “The 2012 BioInitiative Report” nothing has really changed. It doesn’t appear that changes are in the works.
Cellphone Safety Standards have not been updated since 1996. That’s more than 27 years ago and technology has changed completely since then! The SAR ratings are completely inaccurate and aren’t even measuring the correct frequencies. SAR isn’t all that important or accurate when you look at the whole picture.

If you rely on these outdated, inaccurate standards to protect you, you are opening your body up to potentially serious damage.
I’d love to think that when a government or other agency puts safety standards in place they mean something, and that the products we use actually are safe. However, history hasn’t always proven that to be true. Allowing yourself to be lulled into a sense of safety puts you at risk from the hidden dangers in the SAR ratings – feeling you’re safe and not doing anything else to use your phone safely.
We suggest arming yourself with some facts and doing what many of the experts are suggesting – follow the “Precautionary Principle”. The precautionary principle says basically, “There isn’t enough information to make an informed decision, but I feel it’s smart to take precautions.”
A few changes now in how you use your technology can reduce exposure and damage from your Smartphone and other devices and allow your body, mind, emotions, and spirit to be at their optimum.
