Wearing and caring for your shield

How to Recharge & Care for YOUR BioElectric Shield

If you imagine your Shield as a vehicle, then think of the sun as fuel. Without fuel, your Shield will fade in effectiveness—and eventually stop working. At the beginning of each new month, it’s time to recharge your Shield. This is the most critical part of owning a Shield—it is ESSENTIAL to charge your Shield monthly. It will last for years when you do this.

General instructions include how to wear, how to re-tie the cord, showers, washing machines, etc.

Shield Usage & Care

Wearing Your BioElectric Shield

  • It’s best to be consistent with where you wear your Shield, as it creates a vortex of energy around you. The center of this vortex is determined by the location of the Shield. If you move it from a heart location to a pocket, the Shield will need to recreate the vortex with a new center point each time. While the Shield will do this, you may want to recharge it more often if you frequently change its location.
  • One exception is the wristband style, which easily accommodates movement and maintains the protective vortex.
  • Many people prefer wearing it over their heart on a cord, chain, or beads. Alternatively, carry it in a pocket or pouch.
  • Wear it day or night—just place it within 2–3 ft of you at bedtime (bedside table or hanging nearby).
  • Occasionally leave it farther away at night to let your energy field reinforce the Shield’s pattern.
  • Important: Do not yank the cord over your head. Pulling too hard can bend the loop and cause the Shield to fall off.
  • You can wear it under or over clothing with equal effectiveness.

Tying The Cord

About the Knot

Tighten the cord every time you put it on to keep your Shield secure.

Secure, Non‑Adjustable Knot

Make a loop around your fingers, pull ends through, slide to adjust length, then pull tight. For extra security, tug the cords just below the knot each time.

Adjustable Sliding Knot

Wrap once or twice, then slide the knot to adjust. Watch our demo:

Works with leather, satin, or any cord material.

Avoid Losing Your Shield

Regularly check your knot for wear. Fraying or thinning means it’s time to replace your cord.

The Shower & Ocean

Your Shield is waterproof—safe in the shower or swimming in a lake or ocean. Rinse off salt and grit afterward.

Chlorinated Pools

Chlorine will tarnish silver in minutes. Simply polish afterward.

Washing Machines

If it goes through the wash, recharge it the next day. Avoid the dryer to protect the finish.

Polishing Your Shield

  • When to Polish: Occasional polishing removes tarnish—performance isn’t affected.
  • Best Cloth: Sunshine polishing cloths remove tarnish quickly (embedded compound).
  • Silver Polish: Cream polishes or cloths leave a protective finish—avoid dips that strip it.
