Researchers from the National Toxicology Program of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services have uncovered new evidence about the links between cell phone radiation and cancerous tumors — links so strong that they decided to release their preliminary results before the entire study was completed.
In a long-term experiment using laboratory rats, the animals exposed to the same kinds of low-level radio waves emitted by cell phones developed significantly more cancerous tumors than those in the control group who were not exposed.
The findings support the notion that electromagnetic fields, or EMFs, could cause cancerous tumors in humans, though the researchers themselves admit that there is still a long way to go before determining the definitive causality of these tumors.
Even so, the drastic results of the study are a call for the public to wake up to possible EMF dangers and effects, says Dr. Devra Davis of the Environmental Health Trust.
Our grandchildren could pay the price if we don’t take steps now
“If we treat this as we did the early studies on passive smoking, asbestos, or hormone replacement therapy and wait for more proof of human harm before taking steps to reduce exposures,” she told the Wall Street Journal, “our grandchildren will pay the price.”
You are inundated by cell phone radiation. It is no secret that the majority of Americans are connected to their cell phones at all times of the day.
The world is becoming more and more reliant on mobile technology. New studies have shown that there are plenty of cordless phone health risks to be worried about.
Cell phones, WiFi, and wireless phones emit radiation 24 hours a day. Even when you are not using them.
New Research Study Points Finger at Cell Phones as a source for brain tumors.
A research team in England has analyzed 79,241 malignant brain tumors known as Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) over a 21 year period. They found brain tumors have more than doubled from 1995 to the current rate of 3,000 per year. This is the first study to focus on different types of brain tumors.
Scientists Analyze Why This Brain Tumor Incident is doubling
The scientists commenting on the research from the Physician’s Health Initiative for Radiation and Environment say the increase in malignant brain tumors has been masked by the overall decrease in other types of brain tumors. They point to the fact that this type of brain tumor is located in the frontal temporal lobe (the side of your head where you hold a cell phone to hear your call).
Professor Denis Henshaw said: “Our findings illustrate the need to look more carefully at, and to try and explain the mechanisms behind, these brain cancer trends, instead of brushing the causal factors under the carpet and focusing only on cures.”
Research Studies Make Opposite Claims about the tie-in with brain tumors
In 2015 the European Commission Scientific Committee on Emerging and Newly Identified Health Risks concluded that, overall, the epidemiologic studies on cell phone radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation exposure do not show an increased risk of brain tumors or of other cancers of the head and neck region. Yet, the previous year, another study showed that long-term cell phone and cordless telephone use triples the risk of brain cancer!
Reduce Cellphone Radiation – Texting is better than talking
If the child must use a mobile device, the AAP recommends texting. But if they make calls, the phone should be kept more than an inch away from their heads. These steps can reduce the amount of cell phone radiation absorption.
Manufacturers aren’t warning us of the dangers – we need to educate ourselves
A huge problem Melnick sees with cellphone use is that manufacturers are unable to guarantee that the amount of cell phone radiation a user absorbs is within a safe level. His coworker, Theodora Scarato is the Environmental Health Trust’s director of public policy and compares this to a harmful drug that is being knowingly administered to innocent children.
“If it were a drug it would be banned, or at least there would be a list of, ‘These side effects have been reported,’ or ‘We don’t really know what the long-term effect is,’” Scarato believes. “But we’re not really given any information, and little babies are given these phones.”
What Does This Mean For You – a Cell Phone User?
- Wearing full-body EMF protection reduces EMF from your cell phone and everything else.
- Take one of our quizzes for a recommendation based on your exposure and risk.
- If you are talking on your cell phone, please use a speakerphone or use an RF Radiation Free Headset.
- You can also place EMF protective stickers on your phone to reduce the radiation coming from the phone, but this doesn’t mean it’s safe to hold it up to your head! This just means you will get less radiation.
- You can also spray a blue-tooth headset with the Aegis Radiation Shielding Spray. Apply it once a week for optimal protection.

Want the back story of the Mobile Phone Industry’s Attempt to Cover Up the Dangers of Cell Phones?
If you want a better mystery than Masterpiece Theater, read an article published in The Nation, April 23rd. The title of the story is: How Big Wireless Made Us Think That Cell Phones Are Safe: A Special Investigation. It’s well known that Dr. George Carlos has been the bane of existence for the mobile phone industry. Originally hired by Tom Wheeler, the president of the CTIA (Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association) to defuse a public relations crisis for the mobile phone industry. It turns out that David Reynard sued NEC America Company claiming his wife had died of a malignant brain tumor caused by using her cellphone. Stock prices dropped, so the mobile phone industry giants funded a huge special study that included 50 new studies on cell phone safety.
